You may not be aware the site has its own built in Photo/Gallery service.
This enables you guys to create your own photo album, create sub albums for different events and perhaps different surf trips.
I will explain how to utilise this feature so you can include your own pictures in your posts.
Firstly The Photo Album can be found in the top userbar as
PHOTOS it is between BLOGS and QUICKLINKS. Click it and it will take you to the main Album you will see a directory of Albums that you can upload your images to or view others images by category.
At this point in time it looks like this.
Now if you wish to upload your own photo's there is a button in the top bar called surprisingly enough upload
So click it and the following should come up.
There are a few things in here to explain :
- Upload File, you must click on the browse button in this section and navigate to the image on your computer you wish to upload. Select the images and then move on to the next steps.
- Give your images titles. For example, if you went on a trip to Nambucca Heads, use a title similar so people searching the photo gallery for Nambucca can find and view your pic
- Give a short description, anything you want to write about it, explaining it and that sort of thing should go here.
- Now u can choose a category. When you click the little drop down menu, a list of categories will come up. Select the Category that best suites your images
- Now if u like Add in some keywords. Just single words that best describe your photo.
- Now go to the bottom and click submit.
If all went well you should be redirected to your own personal gallery. There you can also edit and view your pictures.
There is also an option for quick upload. Basically the same method as above without all the keyword options
If you would like to browse users galleries you can. On the Photo Album main page
Gallery Main you simply select the section "Member's Picture Boards" you can then browse users or view through by name.
Have fun and enjoy sharing your moments. If there is anything else you would like me to explain I will do my best and create another tutorial.
Thanks
