Hi all, ok here's the lowdown...being a bit chunky at the moment (just into 3 figures) and a grom I got myself an 8' 4" mini mal for my first board, thing is though it came stock with the 3 fin FCS G5 set up. A mate at work reckons I should replace them with a single fin as big as I can get, he said 14" but the biggest I can find by FCS is the 9". The GYU-X looks bigger but apart from coming up in their interactive fin selector, I can't find it anywhere else on their site. Thoughts?

Perhaps go retail then, it might be older stock or something, they don't always keep everything up.

I don't see anything longer than 9, how does the board go with 3 anyway ? its fun having one i must admit, i usually ride a twinny and have more fun on that than my thruster.

How does it go with 3? I wish I could tell you haha, apart from a perfectly timed wave yesterday which saw me manage a 2 second stand I spent the rest of the day getting dumped on my head, getting good at that lol. I think I'm getting on the wave too late or starting off to far out so I'm getting caught at the top then dropping down and nose diving, live n learn though, will try something different today. As for the fins though, it does feel really loose at the moment, plus I'm still getting used to balancing on a piece of cork so the bigger fin will no doubt help a little, think I'll give that a go.
