    Hi All,

I've just got my first board in about 15 years, a 9'2" mal.
Apart from being totally unfit, I'm hoping it'll be just like riding a bike and wont take too much to get back into the swing of things, though I've pretty much accepted the fact that I'll be starting to learn all over again.

We tried Bribie last w'end, only because the missus insisted she take her dog, and while there was some perfcet sized waves to get things started, with me being 6' and 110kg there simply wasn't anywhere enough power behind the waves on the day.

Anyway I was just wondering where the best "newbie" friendly waves would be located in SEQ?

I'm hoping to find somewhere that isn't too crowded (HA!) so that there's less chance of me killing anyone else!

    Thanks!

    Graeme.

Noosa caan be good for beginners. can get a little crowded when its got a decent swell, but if you can manage a mid week surf theres at least 2 good points that have a very long ridable righthander just off the National park. However there is the odd bull shark about. LOL
