Should i get a wetsuit ?

Been contemplating getting a wetsuit of late as I am really feeling the cold, should i get a wetsuit with summer coming or do you think its a waste of cash ?

I don't use a wetsuit although I'm fairly tough haha :P jokes. Nah if you have the spare cash and don't feel like growing up or out anytime soon it would be a good investment. But the rate I'm growing at the moment haha I wouldn't get one. Plus what times of the morning and which places are your regular?

lol yea i am grown up and not going to grow out of it thats for sure now. I surf Bungan and Newport in Sydney - havn't been able to get out to much lately - just got back from a trip up the north coast got some decent waves however i was actually inland and just visited Forster-Tuncurry (Boomerang Beach) for a wave a few days ago. Was ok

Definantly a worthy investment for any surfer....they allow you to stay out longer & generally you stay more comfortable in the water i found, leading to epic 5-6 hour sessions...

Yea i used to wear one all the time - however during the winter i never really feel the cold so i ended up buying a nice rashy/wetty top and it has done me fine as its a bit thicker etc... I think i might just invest in a wetsuit top actually as i do enjoy wearing boardies

I love summer surfing for the comfort boardies give, but winter is pretty cold. If your sessions are getting cut short from numb hands or legs I would go the wetty. I have a springer and that is still way too cold for me.

Yea its mainly the wind - especially the sou-westers coming off the snow lol - freezing. Although been sick and had an operation so have not been able to surf at all. Think i might head down for some fishing this weekend
