1 or 3 fins

Hey all. I need some help with fin choices. I'm getting back on a board after a 28 year absence. Yes I'm an old bugger. Looking at 7'6" or thereaouts. Should I go for single fin or 3 fin. What are the pros and cons?

Jeeze, i would go with a thruster(3 fins)... maybe a mini mal ?

I have a twin fin 1970's morning star - beafy board, stable and really fun to ride. Depends on how you surf... if you just enjoy crusing then a board like what i have would suite you perfectly.

Have you surfed at all lately ? what did you ride 28 years ago ?

This is bizarre. The board I had stolen in 1980 was a 6'10" Morning Star shaped by Col Smith. Of late I'm on an 8' foam learner board when I can get it away from the kids. Easy to pick up waves but slow to turn.

Oh really - well its my dads old board that i have kept. It is quite a nice board - same as you say - slow but still a lot of fun in small - medium size surf.

Oh ps - my board is only 6 ft - so its not your old one :P
