The year of 2007 was the year for young Australian Surfer Stephanie Gilmore. Stephanie won the title by years end with superb performances and steady results throughout the competitions. With a total of five top three finishes including four wins at the Rip Curl Pro Bells Beach, Beachley Classic, Mancora Peru Classic and the Billabong Girls Pro Hawaii. Stephanie was trailed by Sofia Mulanvich of Peru who sustained five top three finishes and Silvana Lima of Brazil who managed a total of four top three finishes. A great year for Australian Stephanie and congratulations to her on the win.
ASP Mens World Tour 2007 Results
The ASP Men's World Tour Kicked off 2007 with Quiksilver Pro on the Gold Coast, Mick Fanning of Australia set the precedence for the season by toppling the competition to win the competition closely followed by Bede Durbidge, Taj Burrow and Kelly Slater. This start to the season set Mick Fanning up for a number one rating by the end with eight top three finishes including two wins in France and Santa Catarina Brazil. The year was a great year for Australia with four of the five top places taken by Australian Surfers.
Ozmosis Nova Pro Junior - Finals Weekend
Surfing conditions were ideal for both the Junior Men and Women’s under 20 years competition on the 3rd day of the Ozmosis Nova Pro Junior. In the women’s quarters Hareb got the better of current ASP World Junior Champion Sally Fitzgibbons after a fierce battle between the growing surfers. Fitzgibben still managed to get through and advance to the semi final.
