Surfing conditions were ideal for both the Junior Men and Women’s under 20 years competition on the 3rd day of the Ozmosis Nova Pro Junior. In the women’s quarters Hareb got the better of current ASP World Junior Champion Sally Fitzgibbons after a fierce battle between the growing surfers. Fitzgibben still managed to get through and advance to the semi final.
In turn this set up a semi final where Fitzgibons proved her self as a classy surfer by taking the win and moving on to the final. In the second semi final we saw Kirby Wright advance through to the NSW Pro Junior Women’s final in which she took Lori Kelly of the Sunshine Coast.

With the men’s still under way it looks to be a great weekend with good conditions forecast for competition as the remaining men battle it out for the title. In the running for the title is Victorian surfer Cahill Bell-Warren who is surfing well represents the last of the victorians in the closing stages of competition. Some others surfing well with excellent results through the competition include Jayke Sharpe and Heath Joske of the Coff’s Harbour region, Lincoln Taylor of Strabroke Island, Stuart Kennedy of Lennox Head, Julian Wilson of the Sunshine Coast and a Tahitian Tamaroa McComb.
With plenty of up coming surfers in the pool of competition looks promising for a great weekend of competition with good conditions forecast it should make a great climax to the competition. Good luck to all involved!
